ABOUT MEPastelist at HeartKatrina Kuivinen is an artist with a passion for all things wildlife. Having a huge interest in biology, Katrina attended PLU to pursue a degree in that field, only to discover her true calling and graduating with a Bachelors of Arts degree. Art has always been a part of her life, but she did not really start painting until 2014 after discovering pastels. Being a self-taught artist is a constant learning experience, but it also helps to make her pieces more unique. She even makes her own wood frames with her husband's help located in Graham Washington. Thanks to the support of her husband and three children, she is now able to start sharing her love of wildlife through her pastels and oils.
